Sesame Street has been doing some awesome videos on YouTube, but this one really hit us in our wheel house. We have been following the “progress” of Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark for a while on the Giggaheim Podcast, and if you are a listener you know that this musical has been plagued by set backs, catastrophic injuries, and a complete reworking of the musical. The 70 million plus costs of the musical have made this a fascinating news item for both comic book fans, fans of U2, and musical theater enthusiasts.
Grover’s one-minute version of the musical demonstrates the strengths of Sesame Street. Everyone learns what they need to about this ill-fated musical in under a minute, it’s funny, light hearted, and makes for engaging television.
