Destroyer Armor Cracks Internet In Half

The below image is from the short lived (for the internet) Comic con trailer for Thor. Various version of it had hit the net, and as much as i love Thor, the Giggaheim is trying like mad to stay “legal” with materials leaked online. We want to keep you hip, but we also respect the wishes of creative teams who try and bring you kickass stuff to make your lives that much cooler.

So! the Destroyer armor looks bad-ass, and exactly as we know it from the comics. My hat is off the Kenneth Branaugh for his efforts to bring the materials of the comic books onto screen, AND keeping them current (50 years of continuity there ladies and gentlemen).

Captain America Costume Storms the Internet

Cap Movie CostumeLeaked descriptions of the costume for Captain America ignited a storm of fan renderings yesterday on the internet. Descriptions of wingless World War 2 helmets set the web ablaze with fan reactions and artwork. We at the Giggaheim cannot wait to see the actual rendering from the studios for the upcoming “Captain America: First Avenger” movie, and have included our favorite drawing of Cap in World War 2.

THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER

The new poster is up for the next installment in the Narnia series: THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER.

It’s a nice tease, and I like the framing of Anslan’s face with the Dawn Treader reflected in his eye. I enjoyed both films and I’m looking forward to seeing this series completed.

40,000 Leagues Under The Sea

nautilius from 20,000 leagues under the seaFox and Disney are currently dueling in pre-production to bring their version of the classic Jules Verne novel 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea to theaters. Disney’s 1954 version of the submariner thriller starred Kirk Douglas and James Mason will be reimaged by David Fincher directing (Fight Club, Panic Room), and Scott Burns (Bourne Ultimatum). Rumors have it that Fox has scrambled Ridley and Tony Scott as the main team with Travis Beacham (Clash of the Titans) penning the script.

The Giggaheim.com staff has a special place in our hearts for the 1954 Disney’s version of the classic odyssey, and we can only hope that both camps will treat the property with respect. We also hope the empty field at Disney World will once again have the best RIDE EVER!!

Keep your fingers crossed kids.

Something new on the Blu-ray front

So while scoping out the blu-ray section at my local Best Buy, I decided to buy Up on blu-ray because it was only $20. Far cheaper from is normal $35 price tag. I guess in a effect to sell more blu-ray copies, Disney has decided to give the following features in the package along with the blu-ray. You now get a DVD version of the movie, a digital copy (which is normal) and, as it turns out, the ability to stream the movie over on your computer from Disney’s new video streaming site. I noticed it when I was downloading the digital copy in iTunes. I also found out that as you buy certain disney movies you can unlock specific movies to then be viewed on the site. Currently there are only 12 movies on the queue but more are expected since the site is still in beta.

Check it out here:
