Every weekday from now until the premiere (Which is an hour, did I mention that? Yeah, the premiere is an hour!), we’ll be posting stills, storyboards, videos and other never-before-seen junk from the new episodes to help make the waiting a little easier.

Today’s bowl of pure win? A still from the first episode (Titled: Rebirth) of the new season.

Hop on over to Comedy Central for a larger version as well as other Futurama related goodness. All glory to the Hypno-toad!… – Dr

Pirate Batman with Kung-Fu Grip

The good folks at DC Comics’ blog: The Source today released a look at Batman as a pirate. This is all part of the “BATMAN: THE RETURN OF BRUCE WAYNE #1” story which will eventually bring Bruce Wayne back to the land of the living since he is lost in time. This particular sneak peek is penciled by Yanick Paquette, and the covers will be drawn by the legendary Andy Kubert. Booyeah.

Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters Opens June 2011.

X-men First Class MovieThis has been rolling around the rumor mill for some time now, and it has finally found some momentum. “X-men: First Class” has a director and target release date.  Taking the director’s chair will be none other than Matthew Vaughn who directed the popular Spring comic book-inspired “Kick-Ass” and “Layer Cake”. I think most people would agree that Vaughn only takes on a project if he is excited about it, and certainly has an eye for comic book action and drama. A Release date has been set for June 3rd of 2011. That’s right kids, they have a year to get this sucker to screen. Good luck muties.
