In a surprise announcement, Marvel Comics revealed their iPad app to read their comics last night. Comicxology developed the app based on the iBookstore programming that will allow for various Marvel comics titles to be read both horizontally and vertically, and has zoom capabilities for panels.  Although the industry is a buzz with rumors and looking to translate to digital download markets, Marvel had appeared to dig in its heels back when the iPad was announced.  Marvel has yet to reveal what books it will offer at time of publication.
